Welcome to Eucharistic Heart of Jesus School
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model School, Obaretin, Benin City, was officially opened on January 10, 2022, marking the beginning of the second term of the 2021/2022 academic session. The school started with only 10 pupils and 4 dedicated staff members. An opening mass was held at the school chapel, with students and staff in attendance to bless the start of this new educational journey.
The pioneer headmistress, Rev. Sr. Patricia Oboavwedua EHJ, laid a strong foundation for the school, and in September 2022, Rev. Sr. Geraldine Maris Epundu EHJ succeeded Rev. Sr. Stella Maris Idibie EHJ as the second headmistress, following her tenure as acting administrator.
Between September 2022 and January 2023, the school witnessed rapid growth, with the student population increasing to 146, prompting the recruitment of additional staff. Today, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model School serves over 300 students and continues to expand, offering quality education based on Catholic values.
